Assoc. Prof. Chang Ding

Guilin University of Electronic Technology, China

Ding Chang: Received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Guangxi University in 2012, a Master's degree from Dalian Maritime University in 2014, and a Ph.D. from Dalian Maritime University in 2018. Currently serving as a graduate supervisor at Guilin University of Electronic Technology and Nanning Guidian Electronic Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., and has completed postdoctoral research at China University of Mining and Technology (with a primary research focus on highprecision measurement of components under photoelectric imaging platforms). During the Ph.D. period, multiple papers were published as first author and corresponding author in domestic journals and conferences such as *Acta Electronica Sinica* and *Acta Optica Sinica*. The paper titled "Two Improved Methods for Image Enhancement Based on Histogram Equalization" was selected for the Pioneer F5000 program. In December 2018, after completing the Ph.D., began working at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Guilin University of Electronic Technology. Has completed one Guangxi Natural Science Foundation project and one Guilin Science and Technology Plan project. Awarded the title of Outstanding Reviewer for the *Journal of Image and Graphics* in 2022. Visited the Advanced Robotics Center at the National University of Singapore from February 2023 to February 2024. Since starting work, has published multiple papers on infrared target enhancement, detection, high-precision positioning, and pixel-level segmentation in SCI and EI-indexed journals such as *Remote Sensing*, *Radioengineering*, and *Acta Optica Sinica*, and has been granted two national invention patents. Current research primarily focuses on the design of neural network structures for efficiently identifying defect types in industrial inspection, the extraction and processing of sub-pixels at image edges, and high-precision measurement of image geometric dimensions.
